Mae West / Actress, USA
Mae West, born on 17.08.1893 in Brooklyn (New York), is considered the epitome of femme fatale and Hollywood’s first diva. She begins her career on Broadway and quickly becomes a star of the variety stages of New York. Under the pseudonym Jane West, she writes numerous stage plays in which she plays the lead role and which are extremely successful because of their sexual allusions.
Mae West quickly develops a public image, which is characterized mainly by their distinctive-hoarse voice and a loose mouth. Immediately her first movie “Night after Night” became a blockbuster in 1932. Until the 1940s she shot more films, then she plays mainly on the Broadway, in television productions and produces her own show in Las Vegas.
