In this sequence pieces of filter paper are folded into cones and placed over a glass of vinegar, such that the top of the cone is slightly above the rim. Colored washable markers are used to draw circles around the cones. When the vinegar reaches the paper, the ink dissolves and travels outward with the vinegar, in the process separating into constituent pigments.IdentifierAKG8195824CollectionScience SourceCredit lineakg-images / © PHOTO RESEARCHERS/SCIENCE SOURCEImage date28.4.2017TopicCHEMISTRYGLASSINKPHYSICSSEPARATIONSTUDIOVINEGARSize2929px × 3797px (31 MB) 24.7 cm × 32.1 cm @ 300 dpiAdd to lightbox: 'My First Lightbox'Add to cartDownload
